Peyton Says...
So this morning we had breakfast and Peyton comes into the living room where Cory and I were sitting. She had just spilled chocolate milk all down the front of her shirt. I said "Can you NOT spill anything?" Frustrated, she says "Yeah, but I keep doing it!" Poor kid.

Getting Lost
Ainsley gave us a HUGE scare today! I normally get to her bus stop around 3:50-3:55 but today Peyton was having some "tummy problems" and it put us only about 3 minutes late. I get to the bus stop and see a few kids hanging around but no Ainsley. I wait for a few minutes thinking that maybe the bus is just late. I really started to get a bad feeling so I called the bus barn to find out if they were just running late. My heart sank when the lady on the phone told me that the bus was already back at the bus barn. I told her that I was at the stop and my child wasn't there. She told me that it happens sometimes and then asked what grade my child was in. I told her kindergarten and the woman almost flipped out. Apparently drivers are not supposed to let kindergardeners off the bus alone and to top it off this was a substitute that got to the bus stop early that day. I got off the phone and called Cory- I had been pretty calm up until this point but as soon as I heard his voice I broke down. I told him that he needed to say a prayer because Ainsley was missing. He basically told me to stop joking and then that he was leaving work right then. I drove around the neighborhood over and over. I went back to the bus stop yet again to see if I had somehow missed her. A lady in a red car caught my attention so I was kinda watching her in my mirror. She got out and was waving her hands toward me so I turned around a saw Ainsley getting out of her car. I ran over to her and we were both bawling. The lady said she saw Ainsley walking down the street crying her eyes out and asked her if she wanted some help.
When Ainsley got off the bus and didn't see me there she decided to try to walk home. At least she was going the right direction. I didn't see her when I went to pick her up because I go a different way when I get her so I don't have to flip the car around. (I end up doing a big circle) Anyhow- Ainsley was very upset, crying and repeating how much she loved me and her family. She said that she was so thirsty and really wanted a drink so she was just trying to get home.
We had the stranger danger talk and I really hope it sunk in. I am just so grateful that the lady that picked her up wasn't someone who would hurt her. Things could have turned out so differently. There was no one around to witness if someone just took her away. She could have so easily just been gone. I definitely thank Heavenly Father for watching over us today.
It's sad but I don't know if I even said "Thank you" to the woman who found her. I was just so grateful to have her in my arms and that she was ok. I hope she knows how much we appreciate her kindness toward a random little girl...

Kennedy got to wear her new outfit too- it finally fits her! She was kinda tired but still happy. I love her little half grins!
A few weeks ago our new ward did a primary activity at the Temple with the sister missionaries. They got to watch the videos and do a scavenger hunt. Ainsley had a blast and got to make a few new friends. She kept talking about how she wants to go to the Temple and that it's not fair that she has to wait. =)

2 Months
I can't believe it! Kennedy is 2 months old today! She is SO big- 11 lbs 3.5 oz. I had to take her to the dr. yesterday because she is having some breathing stuff- stuffy nose, sneezing, etc. Anyhow, she is the same size that Peyton was at nearly 5 months old.
Even with the stuffies and sneezies she loves to smile- her *whole* face lights up! I just love having a baby in the house again.

A little catching up...
So I am trying to catch up- a lot has happened so I have 3 new posts that are now published. They are dated from when they happened so they haven't been showing up that I posted recently... does that make any sense? =)

Cardiologists
We had Kennedy's cardiologist appointment today. First off, she has gained over half a pound in about a week! Talk about a growth spurt. Afterward they did an EKG and then off to her echocardiogram (an ultrasound of the heart). We found that she not only has the heart murmur but also a 3 mm hole in her right atrium. The murmur will more than likely go away by her 1st birthday but the hole we are not sure about. We will go back around her birthday to do another echo to see if it has closed on its own. If it has not closed by her 3rd birthday she will have surgery to close it. Depending on the size of it at that time will determine what kind of procedure will be done. If it is a small hole they can go through one of her arteries and place a plug type thing. If it is too large she will have to have a form of open heart surgery. We are definitely praying that it will heal itself.
Other than the heart issue she is doing wonderful! She is so smiley and coos at whoever is talking to her. It is so precious to watch her face light up as she "holds a conversation" with you!
